In alignment with the United Nations theme for 2011 - International Year of Forests - this year, we will focus our intentions on "Celebrating the Forests" and how we can protect them for generations to come. All Earthdance 2011 events are encouraged to focus their efforts on causes that work to Honor our Mother Gaia, the Plant Kingdom and our lifegiving Forests, while finding new ways to live sustainably on our planet.

The highlight of the Earthdance International event is a synchronized dance floor link-up, when the specially created song, "The Prayer for Peace" is played at every event across the world at exactly the same time. Morning in Australia, sunrise over the Himalayas, midnight in London, afternoon in California - the universal prayer is a powerful moment that unifies our intention for a peaceful world.
Global Synchronized Prayer for Peace - Saturday September 24th at 4pm, uniting with over 300 locations in 65 countries.
